If you knew your life would not be special in any way, would you skip to your pension time if you could?

@ninalanyon why not?

@popmol This life is all there is, I'd like to experience more of it. Most people's lives are not special, that doesn't mean they aren't enjoyable.

@ninalanyon well i meant same boring all throughout!
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@popmol But that would be the very definition of special because that is extremely rare.

:-)

@ninalanyon i mean 5/7 days work, come home same old dinner, same old shows, go to sleep and so on for the next 40 years without anything uneventful.

@popmol I know, I was being facetious. But I think there are many people who do something like that and they continue to do it after they retire except that they no longer go to work. I don't think many of them would want to fast forward those forty years.
popmol · 26-30, M
@ninalanyon maybe not but you'd not have to work anymore :p
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@popmol At the price of only having twenty years left.
popmol · 26-30, M
@ninalanyon well yeah but out of those 40 you might only have time for yourself 10% of that time!
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@popmol That's an extra four years, I'll take it!
popmol · 26-30, M
@ninalanyon haha thats good!
