Would you be able to live if you were really empathic and took in everyones struggles and problems?

Everyone meaning 8 billion people? I think not.

Everyone meaning those in your immediate circle? Would depend on the extent to which you took their struggles and problems in and how well you were able to emotionally and physically manage that.

@OlderSometimesWiser I'm elated to hear you like my questions, but you also always give interesting answers!
@popmol Why thank you! 👩🎩🥸 💃🏻
That would be very chaotic living, and probably not conducive to health.

Every empathic person needs to learn to shield themselves. And practice clearing their energy on a daily basis. Discern what emotions and thoughts are theirs, what they have picked from others. Maybe stop watching news totally.

@thinkingoutloud i definitely stopped watching news. it gets trickled down to you eventually through others anyway!
@popmol I have found a way of not letting it get through by believing that what I am told is a lie. Which is what it is. News is incomplete information.

@thinkingoutloud i just know its just about the several wars going on everywhere! then in between some news that applies to me but i'm not in the mood to search through it!

When it becomes a constant droning whine then no.
popmol · 22-25, M
@RenFur haha that whine gives me headaches!
Live?....not to or by your own needs you wouldnt.

You would be in total reacive mode - a constant response state. There would be no time for 'self'.

Is that living ?
popmol · 22-25, M
@OogieBoogie you'd be alive. maybe not in the metaphorical sense though!
