One shouldn't be found guilty of association. I've had a moment in my life, where my friend was so angry with what his partner's parents did to her, he was planning on leaving after her suicide, said to me, 'I know where her parents live, and I want to make them feel the harm they did.' I looked at him and said, as he was also talking, he didn't care in jail time, 'I am your loving friend, if I find out Karen's parents are now dead, I will have no choice but to express your words to me tonight.'
I think I helped him not make a very poor rash choice. I feel it was on me to remind him morally
I also think we ask the wrong questions intellectually sometimes.

Sure it's good to keep your head with you when someone else is completely not
