Both are needed.
Fear as an alarm, sometimes a right one.
Anger as a sometimes right answer to what deserves it.
None of them emotionst to live by.
None of them should be avoided when needed.

Well, it´s somehow implied.
We can´t survive without some fears and some anger. Neihter can I.
And if so, the alternative becomes either abstract or a question for the ones that would not survive.
