Comparatively men don't have the same support system as women. I notice women tend to have emotionally close friendships and it's kind of a girl thing whereas guys are left out a bit?.
I notice that working in a 90% female workplace.
If I'm walking home at night and there's a girl by herself I have to cross the road so she doesn't get scared, so there's that. Sort of alienating but I'm used to it?.
I think if you're a guy living on your own it's weird and if you're a girl it's got a different connotation to it?. I noticed with my neighbours the girls would be invited to things and people would be very stiff and quiet if I passed them in the hallway. I'm very smiley and pleasant btw.
So yeah I think you're excluded more as a guy and expected to just get on with it in my experience.
