What would you do? [I Ask Questions]

So a relative wanted me to do something. Once they told me the instructions of what they wanted me to do, they went on telling me what they were going to do. Now I thought that I got it all down in my head and went on to do the task but partially forgot half of what I had to do because the relative was rambling about their own task. So I went back and asked to double check. The relative got mad at me for asking again. Then I mention to them that they said in past when I don't understand something or miss it to ask again. So that is what I did....I asked again. So I mentioned well if you're going to get mad about me asking again just to clarify then if anything you can do it yourself. What the relative don't realize is that when you give someone else orders and also mention your own orders to the person without giving the person a chance to write theirs down or grasp it in they got their orders and possibly your orders all jumbled up in their head.I've already found a solution the relative could of doubled check to make sure I understood or I write it all down. I didn't get a chance to write it all down and I thought I had it all processed. Anyways what would you do?

I repeat what they want back to them right after hearing it. If it’s incorrect, they can say it right then and there.

@SW-User some people are impatient with repeats, whether that's them repeating themselves or what they've said being repeated back to them.

@SW-User Yes I forgot to mention that in my post after stating the relative double checking. Thank you.

@SW-User Well if they grow impatient with repeats then they need to do it on their own and not give any orders then. Not everyone is going to get a jumble of orders from one person and listening to the persons own orders on what they going to do all down mentally without missing at least one or two things.

@OpalFlower Yeah. If they get so irritated having to repeat themselves, they really should simply be more clear the first time around and they’d save time. Or like you said, they can just do it themselves.
