@Nimbus yes and figured it would be about the same, maybe Chavs hang out there? We get all types at the Walmart here, have heard people call it the Ghetto Walmart. Mostly because there are so many social service places and a mental hospital within a short walk away, that alone attracts some weirdness. People get out of the hospital for day passes and the police sometimes ends up being called to take them back to the hospital because they are acting out in the store. One woman came into the entrance and cussed at other customers as they walked through the door, kind of like the Walmart Anti-Greeter.

@cherokeepatti lol, no, ours are fairly normal overall.

@Nimbus You have no Chavs in short distance of that Walmart? Are Chavs even still a thing like they were a decade ago?

@cherokeepatti WE do but ASDA is too posh for them 😆

@Nimbus Do they hang out in the one pound stores or where?

@cherokeepatti I haven't seen any lately, might be due to Covid restrictions.

@Nimbus we have cheaper places to shop but none sell such a variety of merchandise including groceries as Walmart....Dollar Tree, Big Lots, and Aldi each have bargains. So Walmart it is for the people-watching. Some days are weirder than others, like all day long from mid-morning till night something going on there.

@Nimbus One guy would come into the store in the evening and cruise around with a bandanna handkerchief hanging from a back pocket, always a neatly folded one. This guy was a long hair blonde-haired blue eyed, rather muscled, looking like he knew he was all that and could have been on the cover of a romance novel. I knew after about 3 times something was up with those bandannas in his back pocket, the colors would change up. Then I did a Google search out of curiosity and found a Handkerchief Code for various types of sex that the person wearing them wanted. That put a whole different twist on when he came into the store🤣 I learned so much from working at walmart.

@saragoodtimes yes it reminds me of some of the Mom & Pop stores in the 60’s, they were small enough you could get through them quickly and they had everything you needed to make a meal. A lady at Aldi told me she bought everything at Aldi for her Thanksgiving dinner except heavy-duty aluminum foil, which they didn’t sell.

@Nimbus some days were uneventful and I didn’t complain. Some days were one thing after another. I thought there was going to be a gang-fight about this time 10 years ago, these gang members with hardened expressions were coming in and out of the store all evening long, it was on the Friday and Spring Break had just started. Two days later on Sunday there were police all over the store, many police cars in the parking lot including a Canine unit, a Rescue squad truck etc. I asked someone what was going on and no one knew cause they weren’t telling. Went to clock in and there were officers in the back part of the store and one in the security room looking at the video monitors of the store. Never found out and they were at the store all day long. Then on Monday my friend went to the same store to get her fingernails done and there were about half as many police cars there with police inside. Was told about a week later by a worker they’d heard someone had a gun in their pocket and police were looking for him that day I worked.
