How many packets of Halloween sweets do you eat before it gets to Halloween?

None before but the house rule is on Oct. 31s after trick or treat, we dump the entire haul on the table in one big dragon horde pile, watch a movie, and the kids can eat as much of it as they want.
After bed time the remaining treats go into a big candy jar on top of the fridge to be rationed and parentally regulated through Christmas. Anything left in the jar after Christmas day is tossed out and replaced with stocking treats.

@JamieDeer when my older boy was about 10 for a couple haloweens i took him for dinner at a local resteraunt after trick or treating and he threw up on the floor ya traditions are sweet

@Whyme he threw up from too much candy? Poor kiddo! The first time I allowed the candy spree I was sure they'd get a stomach ache but mine have been pretty good at self regulation thankfully there's been no spooky night vomit yet.
