Asking if someone "likes anime" is like asking someone if they "like movies"... There are good movies/animes, average ones, funny ones, dark ones, shallow ones, deep ones... I can't say I like all movies or all animes, but I've watched some really good ones... And it also depends on personal tastes/preferences...

@InnocentRoze So yes, there are a few anime masterpieces out there... Currently watching Fruits Basket S3 (Final), highly recommended (love the soundtrack too...)

@InnocentRoze Ah, I didn't watch the original, but I heard that the manga readers criticized it as it was much more light-hearted than the manga... Besides the anime was made while the manga was still being published, so the anime had a "made up" ending that doesn't correspond to the manga version... I'm sure you'll enjoy the new (2019-2021) series then, if you know the basic story... ;) The animation itself is great, too...
