I absolutely can’t stand to go into a boutique and the salespeople are as bad as car salesman!!
Following me around asking me every 2 minutes how I am doing, do I want you to set up a dressing room, etc.
This is the fastest way to get me to leave your store without a single purchase!!

Ah !! ... retail floor sales 101 .... interact with the customer and MAKE SURE they don't have any questions !!!!!

If I can't get them to understand that it's better that they leave me alone, I'm gone !!

@AllAboutLaffs Yeah it’s the absolute worst!! I would have dropped serious $$ in there but they made it so incredibly uncomfortable. I just smiled, put everything down, and left.

@AllAboutLaffs I was afraid something fowl was gonna come out of my mouth. Momma always said if you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything 😋
So I just made eye contact, hung up the items in the most random out of way place, and left. She knew what was happening.

@skmokisses In those circumstances, I am obviously more direct than you ... I think it's important for them to understand that THEIR system and approach isn't working ...
