@SW-User My mother was the kindest, most gentle person I eve met...and I am so fortunate those are traits she gave me...I am working now on a huge project to end child poverty...I was a teacher and love kids...

@SW-User I am doubly sorry!! That breaks my heart--parents need to only love and help their children, not take out their own problems on them...when I had kids, I made sure I was the opposite of my father--sensitive to the needs of them and others, I could not abuse or hit someone if my life depends on it...I loved my kids unconditionally (that does not mean I did not punish them when they needed it) and they are now two amazing, humanitarian adults who are also terrific parents themselves...it always bothers me when people say the children of abusers become abusers themselves...NO!
