It is within the borders of both Spain and France but it still exists and I am from there so indeed there is "such a thing called like that!"

But it's not a real country, are you aware of that?

It's not a real country in the same way that Scotland is not a real country. It isn't a sovereign state but it is very much a nation of people. Spain is a nation of nations. It even recognizes that by giving us, Galicians, Catalans etc. 'Nationality' status and not having an official state won't take away my cultural identity which is inherently Basque.
