I KNOW I'm going to regret this...

My friend, @JesseInTX posted this and it seemed fun. So what the heck, right??

Except I'm disqualifying #43 thru #47. Anything else, go for it. 😁

How about 41?

@ineedadrink Kinda like judges and pornography ... "I know it when I see it" ...

I've often talked about what my turn-ons are, but in truth it's always just been my description of my then-current partner. I've never thought really deeply about this until very recently (because, I'm likely taking the very big step -- for me -- of cohabitation with my girlfriend)...

So what turns me on??? Well ...
1) Be passionate about *something* -- It doesn't need to be the same things I'm passionate about, but at the end of the day we need to be interrupting each other all through dinner because shit happened and it mattered and you want to share it with me. That's tops on my list. You need to be living a life of purpose with intent.

2) A sense of humor is critical, although I fully admit that mine's taken a bit of a dent lately ... But please help me spark it back up when this happens. If we can't laugh at least a few times a week (I used to say every day), then something is wrong.

3) Care about yourself. Take good care of yourself. I don't care if it is taekwondo like me or yoga like my current gf or something else entirely, but put effort into the one and only body you'll ever be given.

When I see someone with these three attributes, then yes, they'd be on my list (if I weren't already taken).

Turn offs?? Well, think the opposite.

If you go through life thinking it doesn't matter and you can't make a difference anyway, then I'll be polite, but we will have little commonality to develop a friendship never mind anything more.

If you're so serious that you cannot laugh at yourself once in a while, then just keep on moving. We'll have nothing.

And, the big one, if you enjoy a few more minutes on the couch rather than a good run ... we just aren't made for each other. Sorry.

@sarabee1995 Thank you for such a thoughtful & detailed answer. Based on what I've read from you over the years I'm not surprised by most of it. Though I will opine that as one gets older the couch gets more seductive. 😁

@ineedadrink I get it. My parents are about your age and, though they still run, they are not as active as before. 🤷‍♀️
