@DrWatson That's an easy one. I've had the perfect first date the first time I went out with my current gf (we are on our third time around right now). Anyway, the first date was a sail down the southern shore of Cape Cod on my family's boat. We made our way through Lewis Bay and into Nantucket Sound, then pulled up-wind and tacked our way west for about three hours along the coast. Intense sailing on that first leg. Then we brought her about and opened the picnic basket for a leisurely lunch and easy sail with following seas back up to Hyannis. It was the absolute perfect day and ended with us falling asleep on the couch in each other's arms.
There is a story posted here about ten years ago that details the whole day. :)

@sarabee1995 Sounds fantastic!
Gee, on my first date with my wife all we did was a restaurant and dancing afterwards. LOL

@DrWatson Well, the really funny thing here is that when I asked her if she wanted to come sailing with me the coming Saturday ... I didn't really consider it a "date" at all (I had never asked anyone out before). It was one of my EP friends at the time who called it a date and I was like it isn't a date! Or is it? 🤔 So on Wednesday, I caught up with her in the library (this was end of senior year in high school) and asked her if Saturday was a date. Her response was perfect: "I sure hope so!" (or something to that effect). I floated through the rest of the week. 😁

@sarabee1995 For weeks before our first official date, my wife-to-be and I often had lunch together.
One time, we sat there talking for so long, that we were still at the table at suppertime!
(We decided to move to a different restaurant!)
But it wasn't a date!!!!!!!!! 😂
