“That’s Not How it Happened” by Craig Thomas

I had my sights on this one because the author is one of the cowriters of How I Met Your Mother which is a favorite of mine. Pretty good read for a first time novelist. Definitely not polished but I think it gave it some charm. It’s about a family that is having their story adapted into a movie and explores all the ups and downs of the process. Had some fun twists. Had some heartbreaking twists. It conjured a few eye rolls but that’s okay. The story was engaging enough for me to see to the end.
