My doctor attacked me... 😒

I had an ENT doctor check me because I've become incredibly hoarse after quitting smoking more than a month ago, and it's driving me crazy. She was pulling down on my tongue pretty hard, and I started joking to my husband who was with me that I have a short tongue, because I do. The doctor said it's long enough, then pulled down so hard on it that the string underneath got stuck between my bottom teeth lol. I have this deranged stoic trait that I don't like telling people when I'm in pain, so I just sat there while she pulled the string deeper yet in between my teeth, wondering if it's possible for it to snap entirely, and when she was done I ripped it loose with one swift effort and thanked her twice. 💀
