My youngest daughter is taking a CNA class this semester to get into a Sonography program.

they are doing clinicals at a Nursing home. She is definitely learning a very sad side of humanity. This nursing home is not up to par and she has had a time stuggling to see seniors and others who suffer from dementia and alzheimers live out the rest of their lives in this way. Tough life lessons.

Its knowing how this happens that is a huge part of my own health journey.
Alzheimers now is basically known as Diabetes 3 ...its a medical progression.

I dont want to go like that....i just can't afford to. I got a kid with needs and i need to stick around.

Mind you - its flipping disgusting that this is known - and yet there's still junk on supermarket shelves and good food is expensive.

My mum went into a home and the food was just MUSH !
There was no exercise classes or machines. No stimulating activities.
She had her marbles when she went in.....but she was losing them a few years later.

Its so wrong 😡
The elderly shouldn't end up a commodity.

It’s awful, I spent lots of time working in the locked up dementia ward. It’s beyond sad and not life anymore. It’s also why I’m staying home taking care of my dad.
We are not taking proper care our elders

It's a shame how we treat our elders.
