Anyone know how to get a knot under lab work site to go away?

I had a lot of labs drawn today and i developed a big knot under where it was drawn from and it hurts to bend my arm it’s just a hard knot with a big bruise now

I'm sorry. Sounds like a hematoma from the draw. Ice it today, then switch to heat after a day or two. It looks scary but usually goes away on its own, just keep an eye on it if it gets worse.

@mindstruggle okay thank you! I wasn’t sure because it’s never been like this and I get labs done a lot but wondered if it was because it was in my upper arm instead of the inner elbow

i was gonna say the same thing: rotating ice and heat a few times.

Yeah that makes sense, upper arm draws can bruise way more than the inner elbow. Same process, just a different spot reacting differently. Looks scary but should settle down in a few days. 🫂♥
