You know what? I actually love my neighborhood
Yeah I know it sounds kinda funny especially cause people who know me know I live in Detroit. Not the fancy areas either hell no. Knowing that how could I love it? Well my neighborhood has soul and character. Some houses ain't so great and some abandoned and some overgrown lots and trash strewn arouns but there's also a lot of old brick homes. I have an old brick house and best part is I bought mine for well under 100k years ago which means I'm gonna own that sooner.
Anyways the people are what make it. Come outside and be in your yard and people will walk past and chat. Few days ago it was 60 degrees and I was raking leaves and trying to fix my yard up. Few people walked by and made small talk like spring cleaning huh? Man I gotta borrow that rake or looking good. My neighbor across the street whenever she sees me out she goes what's up love? I got a lot of great people around me, friendly people.
I go to businesses around me same deal they know me and I know them.
I've gone to wealthier areas and not a passing smile or a hey or anything. It's why I like where I'm at people keep it real
