You know the part where Jack’s character says he says something in Faye Dunway’s character’s eye??? Was that a premonition of her demise????

I first saw this movie when I was really young and that wasn't what I recall the most from it. It was that nose slitting scene. I've absolutely NEVER forgotten it to this day.
