I have a fear (on this website)

and that is, someone I see as cool or I get along well with would block me out of the blue without giving me the chance to explain myself or understand me first before they even think about blocking me.

And it had happened before, I was blocked for a misunderstanding.
It doesn't really bothers me in general if someone block me, heck idgaf, but blocking me for misunderstanding me hurts. 🫤

Even though this is only a website there are real people behind the avatars and usernames. And since people can be unpredictable your apprehension is understandable. Keep in mind you will most likely not be the reason for the misunderstanding. It could be someone is having a bad day and won't take the time to communicate with you.

Yes, it’s sad when that happens. It’s happened to me too. Unfortunately the cost of doing business. But do keep in mind that the block probably has less to do with you and more to do with whatever issues are causing them to be trigger happy with the block button.

yeah that would suck but if it's someone that's actually a friend, they'd allow and/or even want a conversation themselves. Misunderstandings happen. If they don't, it's probably not that big of a loss. That or they're not in a particularly good place.

It does happen here quite a bit. People block me and unblock me multiple times and I don't even get it. One day you're cool the next they're coming at your throat. People are like that irl too. I'm just old and desensitized to it
