Explain normal vs automatic washing machine.

@TangledUpInBlue
automatic one:

normal one:

the normal one you would have to take out your clothes from the washing part and put it into the spinning part so it coud spin out the excess water
while the automatic one would do everything for you.
however the normal one use less water + it wash better because while washing in the normal machine the entire clothes are moving around properly for one turn before it would move around in the opposite direction..
so while the automatic one would move for 2to3 seconds in one direction then come back the normal washing machine would move for about 10 seconds or so then come back
also surprisingly the normal washing machine move around with much more force, I assume that the motor in the normal one is stronger

hope my explanation helps 🤔
@FlowerPetal oh my gosh, YES !

Years ago i had one of those -.and they are the frikken BOMB💪

They not only wash the crap outta clothes, the spinny part just about spun the clothes dry c!

I miss it.

Yeah, it involved a little more effort, but damn...such good machines

Edit:.i think we used to call them "twin tubs".

@OogieBoogie for me I had two problems which made me upgrade or perhaps downgrade from a normal to an automatic washing machine 😆

1. I have some huge blankets in which I can't wash it in the regular machine
& 2. is the spinning part broke, so I've decided instead of fixing it, I'll save the money and invest in something better..
lol oh boy am I dissapointed 🤣
@FlowerPetal thanks. I have two speed queens that I love.
