whenever I think of childhood I cry bitter tears.

never was a rebellious kid and always listen to my parents.
yet I got yelled at a lot.
My dad voice was actually scary I would trimble in fear of him whenever he yells.
an example of his strictness is that all my clothes are hand me downs (my parents are not broke!!) and I want something new and pretty.
so this one time my grandma gifted me some money and through my friend phone at school I order myself some clothes with it, respectful and appropriate.
my father found out and he yelled at me for doing things in his house without his permission so much so I had to kneel and ask for his forgiveness.

weird that I'd say I miss him because he passed away of cancer.. it was sad and weird seeing towards the ending of his life his eyes where soft and would apologized a lot in his final days.
I forgive him but I'm still hurt. I cry every now and then thinking about everything of him.

Aww. What you're feeling and what you've felt is normal. I can relate because when I was a child I always found my dad and older brothers (of whom there are many) intimidating and even in my adult life I'm timid and afraid of upsetting people.

Thankfully my dad is still around but he's up there in age and I dread the day that he's no longer around and I have to think of all the times I held it against him that he was stern and angry.

But I also try to realize it's not my fault for recognizing that. Neither is it yours in your circumstances. It sounds like you took it very well. 🫂

@SinlessOnslaught I'm sorry you went through that and is still going through it.
I hope things will be bright for you in the future and things gets better for you like it did for me 💛

the first thing that changed in me was my confidence, I had none and was self conscious, but now I'm much more confident than before I'd say.

I truly hope you get through this ☺
@FlowerPetal Thank you, and I'm glad things got better for you. 🫂
