been buying vintage stuff on the cheap at street sales/ yard sales for a long time and sell it online on ebay its good money if u know what to look for
@NYCChick A lot of people spend all day on facebook marketplace hitting refresh, and as soon as a deal comes up they message the person they want to buy it. Some people have things they are tired of looking at and just want it gone, so you can pick up a deal, but you have to be the first to message or you miss out. Sellers don't care that you are going to part it out, or melt it down or never actually use it or whatever.
I knew a guy who's wife used to roam around swap meets and garage sales to buy stuff that she'd then resell through ebay. if there's something you're kinda rainman about knowing the value of, that tends to be a somewhat to fairly viable way. get some narrow focus on things you know well/are a good judge of character about and hit garage and estate sales when feasible. it's not a fantastic ROI, but it's not terribly hard hard work, but you do have to have a solid knowledge of what has how much value and how quickly you'll be able to move stuff you buy.
@dirge I have done that in the past. Fairly lucrative. The only down side for me was the packing and postage - especially for breakables. I loathed that part!
@Adogslife Those are actually my favorite pieces to work on. Just seeing the beauty of the wood grain come back to life is a priceless feeling! But yes, it often takes A LOT of elbow grease, high quality chemicals, a heat gun, a stiff bristled brush, heavy duty chemical gloves, a ventilator, and a good orbital sander. All of which I have in my work shop! Lol.
Now that I think about it, most of my side hustles involved selling weed or guns 🤔 weed was illegal but the guns I sold legally. I even built & sold bikes for a few years when I was 19.
Couldn't hurt to find a new one now that I think about it. Eventually I might wanna try flipping cars
@Thrust yeah you assumed correct 😅 it's just a term for buying cars, fixing them & making them nice, then selling them hopefully for more than you put into it.
Imagine I just flipped someone's car over from pure strength though & they're just so impressed that they pay me money lol
Rent a room in your house. Find someone cute. Guess Uber is always looking for more drivers. Didn't they just start an all womens uber thing where they don't pick up men or something?
Kind of a rare room mate that actually contributes anything. Most of them move in, pay a month's worth of rent, and never contribute another dime nor much of anything. Then they try to bring in their own d3ad b3at room mates. 😬
I gave being a part-time porn actor a try, but I found it very hard I then tried to be a hand model but they asked me to quit coming so much My last gig was as a Japanese Steak House Chef while I still worked another full-time job as a circus clown, but I found out it was hard to juggle both
Sorry, it is late and I am a moron...but I hope you smiled 😜
My hobbies actually do provide me with money :) they’re just expensive to maintain. I build PCs and I also collect/sell pokemon cards. Finding pokemon cards not at scalper prices is damn near impossible lol. I@SomeMichGuy
@JamesBugman Anyone trying to run their own business probably dreams of getting to where it is hard to keep up. Probably not an issue for most, unfortunately.
