Why do people like true crime?

To me it’s so creepy.

Like how there are literally shows like “forensic files” and documentaries like that…

Why would you want to watch documentaries about serial killers and learn how their mind works?

Are people who like true cirne odd?

Everyone has that dark thing inside them. They think about stuff they would never publicly admit, but if it's part of a show, then they are hooked. A chance to be weird and murderous and plotting without any negative effects.
Also they learn a bunch of stuff they never would have thought about before.
The stranger thing is, why are these shows even allowed, there is no benefit to any of them in a general population.
