@SethGreene531 Yes, they do indeed represent past friendships. I am unaware that anyone showing up on mine has passed away, but it is quite possible I just didn't hear the news.

@SethGreene531 That's true. For example the profile of 'KeepItSimple' also known as 'Quietrumble' shows at the top of my screen, and she passed away almost two years ago.

@LadyBronte I wonder if it depends on the browser you use. I saw the strip when I was on Edge but on Chrome I don't have anybody there most of the time. Then 1 icon appears when I click on someone's post or heart or comment their post.

The profiles @ top should be only very active profiles & newbies

@pdockal Perhaps if people don't move their accounts to inactive status, there's no way for the server to differentiate. Anyway, it is odd.

@Livingwell I have a lot showing up that I used to chat with but who haven't been here in years. I also have a few new sprinkled in too.

@Musicman Hmmm... I am pretty sure there's not that many these days. Lol. But I guess if they don't move their accounts to inactive before they leave, it still shows as active. 🤷🏼‍♀

@LadyBronte Plus in the old days they wouldn't let you delete your account either if you wanted to leave. Combine both of those and you get 4000 users. As you have seen they are even showing accounts of people we know that have passed away. How can the dead be active users. 🤷‍♂

@Musicman I didn't think I knew anyone here who'd passed away, but I had forgotten about Windsylph. I was thinking EP was still open then, but she had already moved here to SW.
