I'm surprised that people still know what a fifth of alcohol is.(One fifth of a gallon.) Does anyone still sell it in that size?
@DrWatson Seems not any more in the US. Whiskey bottles seem to be marked 750ml for the most part.

@DrWatson Nope, if you walk into a liquor store today and ask for a fifth of Jack they'll look at you like you have a third eye. It used to be half pint, pint, fifth, quart or half gallon. Obviously an old guy here.

@MoveAlong I have childhood memories of an uncle making references to a "fifth". The word seemed to come out of his mouth with a certain flourish. Somehow, the sound of "bottle" today is just not the same! 😅
