That reminds me of a guy I knew back in the Army.
His father was an Italian immigrant, his mother was a Japanese immigrant. He was born and lived his early life in Hawai'i until the family moved to Boston.
When he spoke you could hear bits of Italia, Japanese, Hawai'ian and Boston accents....it was really weird and funny to listen to.
(However, he was brilliant and ended up getting a couple of graduate degrees and became a high level executive in a scientific engineering firm).
I was thinking about him last year, looked him up on the internet and found out that his funeral had taken place within the week.
RIP my incredibly intelligent and incredibly funny old friend.
