Question for the masses..........

Jane is admitted to the hospital and is in the process of going into labor. During her stay, medical staff were alerted that Jane had methamphetamine in her system. Social workers were notified of the methamphetamine in Jane's blood. Under what circumstances should Jane be able to take the newborn home from the hospital ??

In my State she'd get to take the baby home but be under State supervision and drug tested regularly. 1st positive test and the state would take the baby

@FreeSpirit1 they won't allow it at all in my state
No idea, but substances like that in one's blood ought to trigger looking into the med records/talking to a PCP/finding out their med list to see if there is some non-nefarious explanation...

But noticing = have to do something further

That wouldn’t be allowed here in Oklahoma. When doctor’s get involved then that carries a huge amount of weight.
