Can true altruism exist, or are all act of kindness selfish at their core?
I look into it like it’s a fascinating mix. On one hand, many individuals perform selfless acts without expecting anything in return, driven by genuine compassion and empathy. One the other hand, I can see people often help others because it feels good or because society rewards altruistic behavior, which hint at selfish motive or hidden agenda. Like man, sometimes it feels like every act of kindness is just a step in the grand plan to secure a spot in the afterlife’s VIP parking lane.
So, is true altruism real, or are we just the master of the humblebrag? Sh*t, who doesn’t like a good ego boost now and then? 🦧
