When it comes to money, what are you NOT frugal about?

@AllAboutLaffs Love photography! I am in the market for a zoom lense next. Always Canon which isn't cheap, but you can't skimp on lense quality!

@AllAboutLaffs The best as far as I am concerned! Not sure what lense I'm looking for yet, still deciding.

What type of images do you usually want to create ??

@AllAboutLaffs The problem is, I don't have a specific niche. I am all over tha place with photo subject. I need to narrow down to one and start there. Just not sure what I want to start with.

@LadyBronte I get that. I don't think we have to limit ourselves to just one genre.

All that tells me is that you need a general purpose lens .... maybe a 28-105 like I have .... or if you're shooting something a little farther away, maybe a lens that goes out to 300. And be sure to check out KEH Camera ... great used equipment at a very decent price .... and financing through Affirm.

@AllAboutLaffs Thanks. Yeah, a multipurpose should be a starting point, but I also enjoy the night sky which would require one a bit different than needed for wildlife in a field. I am thinking of enrolling in a class in the city. I'm self-taught, and while I am happy with the clarity/ perspective /etc. of my images, I could be better.

And a class .... or some workshops ... are great ideas.

And just shoot .... alot .... that's how we learn. And memory cards are so much cheaper than film.

@AllAboutLaffs There's nothing available in my area, I do have to drive a couple of hours to find one worthwhile. I actually don't post photos here. Just a personal choice.
