Casinos should have big vacuums at their doors that suck all the money as you enter, because in the end, that's what happens, right?

People flock to their doors with cash in hand, they willingly give every cent they have, with the allure of winning big. The odds are against them, but the parking lots are full of fools, making the rich, richer. I don't understand why people do this, it's just sad. No one looks happy, they just sit there until the last coin is hopelessly lost. No money for gas, food, or rent, they crawl back to their dismal existence, like an injured animal, licking their wounds.

i used to live near a strip of casinos on riverboats/barges with adjacent hotels and entertainment centers. i've gone out to eat, seen shows, attended parties, and a few times i played the slots with a limited $20. won all but one time. total fluke but i noticed people seemed bummed when i didn't want to gamble my winnings. i was all too happy to cash out and go anywhere else
