I miss when you could touch tv screens and feel the static

Or when you just had to smack the top of the TV to stop it from scrolling vertically, that was before they came out with a "vertical hold" dial!

I remember that faint humming you would hear when you would turn the tv on, like even if the volume was off you could hear when the tv was turned on even if you weren't looking at it

I miss when broadcasting used to actually stop for the night! Or when I was a kid Saturday morning waiting for the broadcasting to begin so I can watch cartoons.

Kids these days will never know how cool that felt
