Would you ever get ghost hunting equipment? Personally I don't think it's a good idea.

My brother is trying to convince me to go half in on buying some equipment because he out of thin air wants to take up ghost hunting as a hobby. I don't think it's a good idea because I feel if ghosts want to be bothered or if they want to communicate they will reach out on their own.
