In the “to be or not to be” speech, is the character saying that, thinking about killing himself?

What character says this?

Is the speech about him ending himself?

Yes, Hamlet is contemplating suicide, but the fear of death and what comes after prevents him from doing so.

“To die, to sleep; To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there's the rub”

Something like that, but I think he’s been dramatic … I don’t think his character was seriously considered suicide, instead in was to underscore his despair at this predicament

Why was he contemplating it?

I never took Shakespeare.

@Spoiledbrat You didn’t have to take it in school. You could have read it on your own.
@RedBaron I should have. I still might.
@Spoiledbrat You don’t need a class, you can just read it or watch the plays on YouTube.

He was trying to choose an apartment, 2B or not 2B. That was the question. 😂🤣

Why was Hamlet thinking about doing that?

@XenonRush A caretaker digs up the skull of an old friend of the families Yorik. I think I got the speeches confused but they are from the same play.
