How good are you at styling someone else

For a couple of decades I lived near a family who were from a previous century. No indoor plumbing or running water. The mother worked hard to keep the family afloat. I never ever saw her wearing any makeup but, twice, lipstick. The father drank and poached, mostly. They had four children, three of them daughters.

Two of the three girls frequently came to me for hair and makeup and advice on clothes for dress-up time - junior high dances to weddings. The third wasn't interested in much besides hunting and chewing snuff. She was a great kid, though.

They were naturally pretty girls - dark hair and eyes, healthy skin. They didn't need a lot of goop - just mostly confidence. But they looked just fine.
