I know exactly what I'm getting from soon to be ex and he knows what he is getting from me.
He's taken over my mother's tradition of getting me a pair of slippers for Christmas - and I'm proud of the fact that he stuck to his guns and got me a grey pair... even after I showed him that he had a choice between grey and white in my size (yes, he needed my help to choose the correct size for me, but the rest of it was entirely his choice and I didn't influence that).
Though the white pair was pretty, I know that they don't stay that way for long when I wear them - and that's why I wouldn't have chosen them myself.
