I think its beautiful parents can get arrested for failing to protect their child from abuse

You dont deserve children if you sit back and let your partner or anyone else abuse them in any way and dont intervene. I speak from experienence. Even if your being abused yourself , you should put them before your own safety. They shouldnt be victims of who you choose to bring home.
