@soar2newhighs that’s what I do in cool weather, use the cast iron skillet. But I am trying to save energy to keep my utility bills down and especially this winter with the price increases.

@cherokeepatti I hear you. But don’t sweat it…the new green deal will resolve and assuage ALL your concerns in this regard! And then we wake up!!

@soar2newhighs I have a rocket stove and have a large pan that fits snugly on it (double-walled) that I could use for soup or stew or to boil water, a Coleman camping oven to fit on top of it to bake with, a camp coffee pot and various other cooking items to use. And a barrel full of dry sticks to use as fuel besides what I can start cutting off the neighbor’s overhanging trees.
