I'm so bored on here...

...that I have started a new pastime. I choose a random group (in the list provided on the right) and scroll through it.

I reply to what I like, no matter how old.

The funny thing, is this then revives the old posts since they appear on the recent feed above the random group list. And then other people reply.

If I cannot find entertainment, I will make my own! LOL!

I used to just try posting my own stuff, but that is usually ignored. Unless I include a photo of stuff

lol i will admit i do enjoy your photos of your nature walks. they're my favorite. especially the fuzzy butterflies and flowers. i've said it before but you really do have an eye for photos.

Thanks for looking at my STUFF. It is fun to take photos of the STUFF around me, and then chat about it, and other STUFF, on here. Even if all I am doing is talking about STUFFING my face with food.
@JoyfulSilence lol yes that is always good too. Probably more interesting than my existential angst posts. I'm trying to mix it up a little lol. Keep doing STUFF!

That is what this place is for, to let it all out.

I confess my stream of stuff has lessened. With this heat I have not taken as many drives as I used to, so I am taking fewer photos. And photos of breakfast get sort of dull after a while. Sunday morning I instead posted a photo of what I ordered that I found online, LOL!
😄 Are you craving turkey? 🤪

Not this moment, since I am focued now on eating a Chipotle steak burrito.

But when I go to Golden Corral for dinner, they usually have turkey. I like dark meat with gravy, often on a bed of rice.

My burrito is full of rice.

P.S. I just had a job interview for a new job in my same office. It went well. It is a non-supervisory promotion.
@JoyfulSilence Yummmmmmm….I have been splurging on Mexican food too…☺️👍🏻

Oh nice…wishing you the best! I hope you get it coz there’s no one who’ll fit that profile better! 🤞🏼😇

I used to go out to Mexican restaurants often, but it is just too much food, and I always end up with uneaten stuff like beans and rice. Or, I often will not be able to finish the last fajita. I will unwrap it, eat the meat, then leave the rest. I never take stuff home since old cold beans, rice, veggies, sour cream, etc., are not appetizing. And microwaving just makes it mushy or limp. Yuck.

Now, Chipotle burritos are huge, too, but usually I can finish.

I hope I get the job, too. It would mean more research, less clerical work, and more money! But I am a bit nervous, since I feel a little unqualified and fear being asked to work on things I do not know enough about. I am not yet confident I could learn and master new math quickly enough. I made this clear in the interview. I was honest about both my strengths and weaknesses. They already know a lot since most of the interviewers (there was a panel) I have worked with for decades. I tend to sell myself short, and my boss (who was on the panel, and who encouraged me to apply) often jumped in to affirm my skills, personality, and work ethic.

There is a lot I do not know. Still, I am often an expert on what I do know. Most of what I do know (to do my job) I learned on the job, not in school. My education was too general or abstract, with little statistics. It usually takes several years and several projects for me to get good at something new. So I may not be able to hit the ground running on some things. Also, the new job requires me to support two surveys I have not worked on that much before. I hope they ease me into those.
