Love to judge me based on my music taste... or rather... what I [b]don't[/b] know.

Oh I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with Bob Dylan or a fan of AC/DC. Therefore I must be ignorant to anything that isn't modern plastic pop crap.

It wouldn't bother me usually, except it keeps getting brought up

If they don't like the music you like, start listening to talk radio. When they complain about the news being on all the time, tell them you got tired of being brow beaten over music so talk radio it is.

Everyone seems to think the music played as they came of age is the best, for me, it is the 80s music. But music organized by decade isn't really the defining factor of good music, it is the music that spans decades that more or less has a life of it's own, Bob Seger, TT Top, The Stones, their music just doesn't stop. Take a bob Seger song from the 70s and everyone will still be singing along. And what you like is right for you. Tell everyone else to piss off.
