@Adstar I go to a Mennonite church. I have a Jerusalem Bible which is acceptable in both the Orthodox and Catholic churches. I am such a rebel. I do have a KJV in my collection.
@hippyjoe1955 @Adstar KJV is my favorite.

@hippyjoe1955 Mennonite not a bad choice.. But a Bible that is acceptable to catholics??? 🤔 🤮 Must be somthing wrong with that one..

@WonderGirl1 It used to be when I needed to use a concordance. The distinctive words made it much easier to find the verse I needed. It is not my favorite study bible though. Too many words have changed their meaning.

@WonderGirl1 Change your name to GoodGirl. 🤗

@Adstar Not really. It just has all the Apocrypha in it. All of the protestant bible is there and is very faithfully rendered. I like it because it retains the original names of God.
@hippyjoe1955 I use Bible software with different versions and commentaries.

@WonderGirl1 I use those as well. Biblegateway is another such online concordance daily reading service. Unfortunately it doesn't have my favorite translation in it so I have to use the English standard translation. It is a faithful translation.

Well there you go.. Thats whats wrong with it..

Oh God being the One and only God of all existence does not need a name to distingish himself from other gods... Because there are no other Gods..

Thats why He told Moses He was I AM THAT I AM.. You can almost feel the frustration God was feeling when Moses asked Him that silly question.. God has a number of acceptable titles.. Like LORD or The God Of Abraham or the Alpha and Omega or the First and the Last or The Almighty.. And those can be stated in any language on earth. 😊
@hippyjoe1955 I paid for a couple of translations. I don't remember how much but it was inexpensive. The software is free itself and comes with many extras. I also use the Believer's Bible commentary. I bought it for the software and hardcover book.

@WonderGirl1 Good for you. I have about 7 translations in my collection of books. KJV, NKJV, NIV, Jerusalem, ESV, RSV, Amplified. I go through them so often I have worn several copies out. However with the online versions all I need is my phone or laptop!
@hippyjoe1955 I have most of them but only use KJV, NKJV, and NLT. I never got along with the NIV. I used to read the New American Standard.

@WonderGirl1 Yes i had big problems with the NIV too.. When i first became a Christian i was reading the NKJV but i now use the KJV personaly but i sometimes quote the NKJV because it is sometimes better for sharing with non-Christians..
