Share a time when you or someone else did a simple random act of kindness and it brightened your day 馃グ

When my brother and I were very young we use to love to ride the animated coin activated children's carousels near the entrance at the grocery store.
I remember our mom finishing with buying groceries and my brother and I ran a head to hop on the little animal figures just waiting for her to catch up and feed the machine some coins. A stranger man walked by and put some coins in and started it for us, I was in such surprise by his kindness Ive never forgotten. 馃挆
They dont have those kids rides anymore, my guess they have become safety hazards?

I was coming out of the store one day when a woman stopped me and asked for change to help feed her kids and pointed at her car. It looked as if they had been crashing in it. I didn't have much money but I told her if she followed me over to the McDonald's on the other side of the shopping center I would get them a meal but I wasn't giving her cash to support a habit. I bought meals for her and her three kids. I then had her pull into the Mobile station next door and pumped $20 into her car. She was grateful and in tears. I told her i wish I could do more for but only had $10 left for fuel in my truck.

I don鈥檛 know why they don鈥檛 have those rides in the entrances of stores now. Maybe didn鈥檛 make enough money. A local grocery chain used to have them. And even Walmart had them too..but they took soda machines out of most store鈥檚 entry ways as well. I think the reason for that in some areas of the city was to keep the homeless from hanging around in the summer but another reason was to sell 20 ounce bottles of soft drinks from small units by the cash registers for a lot more money than they could get from the soft drink machines.

Telling off the husband of a lady with dementia who thought I was her daughter and he yelled at her I told him it's fine. But I just carried on with her and she was so happy!

It's at the care home my mom is at and I do this stuff often.

I bought someone鈥檚 lunch in a busy drive thru after they permitted me into the line before themselves.

Everything enjoyable seems to be done sort of safety hazzard of some sorts anymore. It's sad

@Bang5luts yep, I think a lot of schools have banned dodge ball and tag.

@Alisha233 that's sad, when I was a kid we used to ride down steep ass hike on our skateboards 馃浌 without helmets, knee pads or any safety gear. Now it seems like kids can't do anything without a helmet on. 馃檮
