17 days, and a huge change of plans
When contemplating getting films again after thinking i was done, via wanting crime fiction i feel that i shall be making much more room for films, heck there will still be plenty of reading material, just now dear readers when i saw all 3 volumes of Indicator's 6 films sets COLUMBIA NOIR i knew yes i surely knew.
For my benefit mainly so as to know whether anything would overlap, i shall list the films, i won't be getting The Hot Spot as someone just mentioned because i'm mainly just interested in the classic stuff that ended before the 60's i think that specific era all ended by then, i may be wrong, i was taught to believe that Touch of Evil was the last of that era.
Without further ado
Columbia Noir vol. 1
1. Escape the Fog
2. The Undercover Man
3. Drive a Crooked Road
4. 5 Against the House
5. The Garment Jungle
6. The Lineup
Columbia Noir vol. 2
7. Framed
8. 711 Ocean Drive
9. The Mob
10. Affair in Trinidad
11. Tight Spot
12. Murder by Contract
Columbia Noir vol. 3
13. Johnny O'Clock
14. The Dark Past
15. Convicted
16. Between Midnight and Dawn
17. The Sniper
18. City of Fear
then there's 2 collections 9 films each Noir Archives, first one has a double from above - 711 Ocean Drive, goood, only one repeat, then 9 films from Kino Lorber, and that rounds off the sets, which is just too tiring to type out each, Indicator above is a primo company, and to have anything by them is tops!
Stand alones
Detour - Criterion
In a Lonely Place - Criterion
and Double Indemnity - Eureka
wooof .... 48 films if i'm counting correctly, all in high quality editions, that's important, i could have gone the cheap route, but what kind of film collector would i be then??
