Promises

I feel it can cause more harm than good. I've only down voted once and I felt awful doing it. I don't think I'll ever do it again because everyone is allowed to voice what is on their mind. I do however believe we should tread carefully around others. Some people are in fragile state of mind and genuinely feel stuck. I try to get a feel for others so I can ineract we with them accordingly. I want everyone to feel appreciated, heard and safe so they can have fun. It's not fun when others aren't having fun. Anyhoo

@Promises It certainly has the potential for abuse and intimidation. I agree everyone should feel appreciated and heard. And I definitely agree it's not fun when others aren't having fun.

@Unefilletrescurieuse It was befuddling to see the childish behavior displayed by people who are listed as chronologically in the adult stage of life. However one is allowed to list oneself on this site as he/she wishes to be known regarding age as well as gender. And you are correct in pointing out the folly in their thinking empty threats would force the owner(s) to cower in fear and fall to their knees begging forgiveness.
Congratulations on knowing where you stand. Many people would benefit from your example.

@onrealityofdreams Thank you. I couldn’t help but laugh as I know I have my faults as well.. but thinking I can manipulate the site owners by threats and tantrums isn’t one of them. I’ve never even liked to see children throw tantrums.. Haha
