I Was On the Radio

A few years ago, I worked at a local community radio station. I was off air most of the time, producing, editing content for the station. Until one fateful day in 2013, when my services were required to do the part you talk into the foam thing inbetween songs. It was a two hour shift and I got by on nervous energy and chocolate. Like most occasions.

The foam thing? The microphone?

@Peekaboo: Yes, it's how I described it at the time on the air in a state of panic.

Lots of people at my college station were scared of "taking a mic". I never was, though I would occasionally trip up my words. I worked briefly in commercial radio, but all the tags and other stuff was done off-air.

@uncalled4: yes, I get that, I was. I'd done a lot of pre-recorded bits but live was different, I tripped up many a word.
