Did you ever play CB/Ham radio tag AKA Fox Hunting?
The CB radio version was more playful and fun
The Ham (Amateur) radio verison was more serious and kill joy
At least in my opinion
In our 1970s, 1980s, 1990s CB-style “radio tag” (aka fox hunt), the group picked a driver to be the “fox” (by vote or draw); the fox drove off and hid their car anywhere within a roughly 5‑mile radius, then keyed up once parked to announce “I’m hidden, come find me,” and repeated a short taunt every ~3 minutes. Seekers used their CB rigs’ S‑meters and directional antennas (or just signal‑strength readings) to judge whether they were getting closer or farther, working from agreed search boundaries, transmit intervals, and safety rules; play stopped when someone visually located or “tagged” the fox.
(Don't blame me for the crappy photos, that's what I found)
