Suicide is not all that easy a thing to do… to give up your life. What kind of pain compels people to do this? I don’t know what word to use in English… it’s horrifying that a human can be in this condition.
The problem is most of those people who push away the ones that are depressed become ignorant to care is because they neither never been through it themselves but change their perspective either experiencing depression themselves or losing another to suicide. even when I’m in my happiest state if I see someone depressed I always want to either give them a hug, a smile or a simple “are you okay” because even if they are close to certain suicide, that reach out gives them one more day to think it over or even second guess suicide.@Gusman @LittleEvilOne
@SW-User That is all anyone can do. Acknowledge them. Listen to them if they want to talk. Never say, "You should do this/do that" Listening is the best therapy because it allows that person to get those negative thoughts out of their head instead of them going around and around constantly. Building to a crescendo. One piece of wisdom I try to impart on those so afflicted is to write down all that is in their heads. Better to get it out. Once written, do not read it, because that will simply put it back in their head. Throw it away. This can give momentary relief from a mind constantly at war with itself.
It’s an ineffable loneliness, hopelessness, and anguish that spirals downward to the abyss. It becomes suffocating. It comes to a point, if one is fortunate, where there must be some tiny inner bit of light or someone comes to the rescue to save the day.
I think the word would be Hopelessness.....of a better future....of Happiness. of Understanding....of Compassion....of love....of Empathy....of a Quite Mind
