"சுவையொளி யூறோசை நாற்றமென் றைந்தின், வகைதெரிவான் கட்டே யுலகு" எனக் கூறிய ஐந்தனுள்ளும், ஒளியும், ஓசையும் சிறப்புடையன. ஊற்று ணர்ச்சி மரம் செடிகொடிகளுக்கும் உண்டு; அதன்பின் முறையே தோன்றும் சுவை யுணர்ச்சியும், நாற்றவுணர்ச்சியும், சிற்றுயிர்களுக்கும் அமைந்திருப்பன. அதன் பின் ஒளியுணர்ச்சி தோன்றிச், சிறப்புடையுயிர்களுக்கே ஓசையுணர்ச்சி தோன்று கிறது, அவ்வோசையின் வழியாகவே, எழுத்தறிவும், இசையறிவும், பிற அறிவும் பெற்று மனிதன் சிறப்புடையவனாகின்றான்."
