I hated it when our English teacher in high school made us read and recite a lot of poetry. Now I am grateful. I still remember the poems, or parts of them, and they have special meaning in my life. I quoted one last week in a class I teach.
If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you. Rudyard Kipling. I had to memorize that and recite it in highschool. I hated having to do that.
